Samsung I9500 Galaxy S4

Samsung I9500 Galaxy S4 Review

For the last some three years, as the smartphones have become more and more common and affordable, consumers are becoming aware of the different feature sets that come with each smartphone. In this definition, the smartphones also have been catered to multiple tiers for ease of definition and classification.

As time has progressed, the smartphone industry players have become more and more visible, with the Android OS leading the way, followed by the Apple iOS devices. Leading the smartphone market by a far margin is Samsung, with Apple a distant second.

As Samsung has become a major player, every year the manufacturer has been releasing one version of its leading brand, the Samsung Galaxy S series, with this year being no different with the release of the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S4. With every new version, people have come to expect more and more from Samsung, and the company has managed to deliver on multiple fronts.

With features such as the Smart pause, Smart play, and the Air gestures, along with the increased battery life, etc. Samsung has come out big again this year against competition from HTC and Sony, as well as newer rivals in Huawei and BlackBerry.

BlackBerry Z10

BlackBerry Z10 Review

BlackBerry Z10 is the brand spanking new BlackBerry phone in the town that does not run the usual BlackBerry Operating System that we are familiar with. The previous generation of BlackBerry’s touch-driven smartphones felt a more like Nokia’s early attempt to knock Symbian into shape for touchscreen. However, with new BlackBerry Z10 the company has thrown everything out and has started fresh. And, one cannot exaggerate the position of this phone upon which the fate of BlackBerry (formerly Research in Motion) hangs.

The company has been on the rocks for the past year or so and it is no secret as the company admits that it has not been in the best shape of late and the 4G toting Z10 is the start of what is hoped to be a successful revolution. This time BlackBerry has also added a dash of fun.

On the whole, the phone may not wow you with its new design but it is a definite sturdy handset with a very decent build quality and functional layout that makes it easy to use. The phone is equipped with a 4.2" WXGA screen which is slightly bigger as well as sharper as compared to the iPhone 5's retina display. However, the company kept the overall package quite compact with all the connectivity features, hardware ports and slots.

Nokia Lumia 620

Nokia Lumia 620 Review

Nokia has got all the presence and attention from its Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 that it needs to stay higher in Windows Phone 8 circles. Nokia Lumia 620 is designed to cater the lower midrange audience as it offers a downclocked dual-core Krait CPU with 512 MB of RAM and of course a style that is meant to target the young audience. With this approach, Windows Phone 8 (WP8) can create awareness among young users and reasonable spenders so that it can seriously challenge the dominating smartphone platforms. Nokia has made a smart decision with the Nokia Lumia 620 which certainly is a mid-range windows phone 8 smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy Grand I9082

Samsung Galaxy Grand I9082 Review

This new device from Samsung is targeted for a pretty interesting niche and that is those people who eventually eager for a big screen smartphone, and the 5“ Samsung Galaxy Grand skimps on some features to reach this goal.

It may perhaps give the impression of being quite unfortunate for the Galaxy Grand that it'll be yesterday's news a week from now. But giving it a second thought, it has a better insurance policy against worthlessness as compared to many other most recent Samsung phones that tried too hard to compete with the Galaxy S III.

There is no doubt that this phone is apparently aimed at emerging markets. One should not judge it from the specs only but also from the availability of a dual SIM version and its functionality. Well, Samsung has been busy with releasing newly styled smartphone after the flagship the Samsung Galaxy S III. But, it will definitely make all the sense in the world for Samsung to unleash a big fat five-incher in a niche that other smartphone makers like Sony, HTC and LG are very much interested in too. Let us discuss whether Samsung has compromised too much or will it reach the newly created target market?

Apple iPad mini Wi-Fi

Apple iPad mini Wi-Fi Review

In October 2012 tablet markets around the world were stunned on the launch of Apple iPad mini. Users who were attracted to Samsung Galaxy tabs, Google Nexus or Dell Streak etc were turned to towards Apple iPad mini. As size does matter, this smaller body and light weight slate is quiet exquisite in looks. Not some out of the world to be expected but carry the same design. All aluminum body felt really good in hand and its light weight makes it easier to carry around. Apple iPad mini features the similar UI but with a slight enhancement to fit on 7.9 inches screen. If we compare Apple iPad mini to Apple iPad 4 then its sure lacks on different features due to size but still it has good potential. If we compare the market competition Apple iPad mini will be facing huge competition. Android based Tablets are not only offered by other major brand but also offered from different unbranded manufacturer as well.

Apple IPad mini features great built quality with its small body. It powered by Apple A5 Dual Core chipset. All your applications, games, multimedia runs great as Apple promise. Wi-Fi experience will be noticeable as Apple iPad mini hold a dual band capability to deliver the best performance. Apple iOS 6 works great on Apple iPad mini we find it very simple and very easy to manage. Display felt very nice and clear, can be said a bit less in resolution as compare to iPad 4 but still great to visibility. Apple iPad mini features a great 5MP Camera which delivers the best image quality. It also has a 1.5 MP front camera for video calls and video chats. For continue run Apple iPad mini comes with a good battery backup, it last for about 10 hours on normal usage which is quiet sufficient.

Lastly, one thing we like about Apple iPad mini is it’s availability in both cellular and non cellar models. Users who are just looking for a tablet will get a non-cellular iPad mini or users who are using iPod touch can get an upgraded Apple device.

Nokia Lumia 510

Nokia Lumia 510 Review

Today in our spot light we have the smart looking Nokia Lumia 510. Carrying the Microsoft flagship Nokia Lumia 510 is Windows based smart phone comes with Windows Phone 7.s Mango. Was released in November 2012, similar to its other sibling of Lumia family Nokia Lumia 510 is a mid range smart phone. It offers decent features and trendy design. May be market is not so up for Windows base OS smart phones but it is noticed that Nokia Lumia has revamp the windows craze in market again. We think that competition is quiet tuff between Android smart phones and Apple OS but now Nokia Lumia with Microsoft windows OS had made it even more difficult. Smart phone users have already start shifting towards Lumia due to the famous windows compatibility and user-friendly interface.

Nokia Lumia 510 can be classified as the young generation smart phone. It looks and felt very stylish in hand. Design is not new but the clear front black screen and bright back covers makes it more trendy and young. Nokia Lumia 510 offers great 4 inches touch screen with bright display powered with Adreno 200 Graphic processor. Camera is 5Mega Pixel with all the basic features, and it’s pretty good for instant pictures. Lumia 510 comes with a 4GB internal storage for all the multimedia and data to carry. Beside that it also offers 7GB sky drive storage, sound great.

Nokia Lumia 510 has a decent CPU consist of Qualcomm 800 MHz Snapdragon. It is quiet good with touch responses and other tasks but it sure limits to its capacity. For Music playback and longer running life Nokia Lumia 510 comes with a Li-Ion 1300 mAh battery with gives a decently 6-8 hour talk time and a good 38 hours of music.

HTC One X+

HTC One X+ Review

HTC One X+ is released the same year its predecessor was released with few major upgrades. Although, the One X+ may not look any different than the One X – its predecessor but in actual fact it comes with some decent and very well welcomed updates on the inside. For this reason, we can say that the HTC One X+ is a revamped version of its predecessor and it brings with it a better processor, 64GB of storage and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box. On the other hand, it does share many features with its brother the HTC One X.

There's no second opinion that the HTC One X was an amazingly solid smartphone, but the upgrade was necessary to keep the phone into the holiday season and compete with the other flagship phones in the market. Although, the HTC One X itself was an impressive phone but the One X+ is here to put all those issues to bed that users encountered with the HTC One X, and possibly tries to snatch top spot away from its main competitor and the massively popular Galaxy S III. The HTC One X+ comes with a faster processor, a bigger battery, more storage and a newer version of Android.
